The attraction of Seijyakubow is that you can enjoy “mall hot springs” that are rare in Japan, with free-flowing hot spring water.
The “mall hot spring” that gives the inn its name is a rare type of hot spring that contains high levels of plant organic matter, which gushes out through layers of plants that have accumulated over a long period of time.
Tokachigawa Onsen is said to have been called “medicine swamp” by the Ainu people in the past, and visitors can enjoy its amber-colored, thick spring water.
The hot spring facilities are not limited to guest rooms; the hotel also has a large public bath and a full-fledged sauna with a wax-liquor system. The women’s large bath offers detox water service, which is a nice touch.
