Ibusuki Hot Spring Ibusuki Hakusui-kan is located about 1 hour and 30 minutes south of Kagoshima Airport by bus, and is a long-established ryokan where you can enjoy the nature of both the ocean and the greenery of the pine trees of Kinko Bay, which is right next door.

Ibusuki Hakusui-kan has an expansive site of approximately 1,500 square meters. On the grounds, there are various facilities such as the beautifully maintained pine garden and swimming pool, white Satsuma (a type of Satsuma pottery), and the Satsuma Traditions Museum with historical and cultural artifacts, so you can spend a fulfilling time even without leaving the grounds.

The attraction of Ibusuki Hakusui-kan is the “Sand Mushi Hot Spring” which has been popular since the Genroku era of Edo, the “Genroku Bath” which is also themed on public baths from the Edo era, and the “Genroku Bath” which boasts a great view.
You can enjoy an open-air hot spring bath with an open-air feel. In addition, there are a variety of other hot springs such as the barrel bath, bubble bath, and the Edo-style pomegranate bath (sauna), where you can enjoy bathing for hours.

With a total of 205 guest rooms, Ibusuki Hakusui-kan can be divided into four main room types.

The first guest room type is the most popular and the most expensive of the four, the Rikyu. All of the rooms have an ocean view and a view of the pine garden, so you can relax after a hard day’s work.
Japanese-style and Japanese-Western rooms are available.

The second room type is the Isokyakuden, which boasts a relaxing space and a cypress bath. Most of the rooms also offer a view of Kinko Bay. You can choose from Japanese-style or Japanese-Western-style rooms.

The rest of the rooms are more reasonably priced, such as Hana-no-Mdou and Satsuma Kyakuden. At Hana-no-Mdou, you can choose from a Japanese-style room, a Japanese-Western-style room, or a Western-style room.
