The “Gero Onsen Yunoshimakan” is located in an area of about 50,000 tsubo (about 1.5 acres), watched over by trees
that are several hundred years old.
The main building, corridors, and part of the accommodation building are registered as Tangible Cultural Properties,
giving visitors a close-up look at the nearly 100-year history of the hotel, which has remained largely unchanged
since its establishment in 1931.
Passing through the irimoya-roofed entrance, the first thing you see is the contrasting crimson carpet.

In particular, the “Special Room Annex with Open-air Bath [Shunkei-so]” is a famous room finished in the traditional
Hida technique of “Shunkei Nuri” (lacquerware).
